Mumbai – ‘Bisk Farm’ is a company which makes different types of biscuits. This company has denigrated the holy ‘bhajan (devotional song)’ of ISKCON, a renowned Hindu Sect with verse as ‘Hare Rama Hare Krushna….’ in the advertisement of its product viz. spicy biscuits. While advertising its another product viz. Top biscuits, the company has denigrated characters from holy scripture ‘Mahabharata’ viz. Pandavas, Kunti and Draupadi.
1. Mockery made while advertising spicy biscuits
In the advertisement of this product, it is shown that devotees of Srikrushna are singing ‘bhajan’ generally sung by followers of ISKCON with wordings as ‘Hare Rama Hare Krushna…’ when a devotee playing drum suddenly tells a senior seeker that ‘Guru, let us eat something spicy’ and eats the said biscuit. Then all devotees start singing this ‘bhajan’ on a tune of some western music; dancing in a very weird manner. There is thus denigration of the Sect and Bhagavan Srikrushna in the advertisement.
2. Denigration in advertisement of Top biscuits
In this advertisement, there is dialogue between Arjun, Kunti and Draupadi as given below–
