The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a memorandum to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary CT Ravi seeking a ban on Halal certificates and the formation of an ‘anti-Love Jihad’ police force in Karnataka. The memorandum was also submitted to MLAs of the state to enact an anti-Halal law in the upcoming Winter Session.
HJS has demanded to bring the “Halal Certificate Prohibition Act”. A bill will be inducted in the next Karnataka Winter Session.

Karnataka will be the first State, to bring Act to Ban "Halal certifications", which is illegally imposed on Hindus & other Religions in India.

The HJS has also submitted the memorandum to ban the halal certificate to Karnataka Health minister K Sudhakar.
