Mumbai: A delegation of the Ranragini branch of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti met Women and Child Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha on December 14 to demand strict laws to prevent love jihad and conversion in Maharashtra. Mrs. Anagha Bedekar of Chittapavan Brahmin Sangha, Mrs. Rama Sawant of Shri Shivpratisthan Hindustan, Vaidya (Mrs.) Diksha Pendbhaje, Coordinator of Ranragini Branch for Mumbai, and Mrs. Dhanshree Kelshikar and Mrs. Sharmila Bangar of Sanatan Sanstha were present.
The delegation requested Minister Lodha to enact a law against this in the state, while apprising him about the cheating of young women through love jihad, as well as the allurement and forcible conversion by Christian missionaries. A petition regarding this was also given to Lodha by the delegation.

Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha said that he will participate in the ‘Chalo Nagpur’ march on December 21 to demand the introduction of anti-love jihad law and anti-conversion law. This grand march has been organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and all Hindu organizations.
