Initially it was thought that ‘Love Jihad’ is only a love affair; But we have also realized that this is a conspiracy. The state government is serious about love jihad and religious conversions said Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He assured the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti led delegation that the state government is going to enact a law against love jihad.
A massive march was held on 21st December, 2022 by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and other likeminded organizations. After this march, the Samiti’s delegation approached the Chief Minister in the Vidhan Bhavan and demanded a law against love jihad and religious conversions. The CM was also presented with a petition with the demands.

The delegation consisted of Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena party chief whip MLA Mr Bharatshet Gogawale, MLA Mr Mahendra Thorve, MLA Mr Mahendra Dalvi, former minister and BJP leader Dr. Parinay Fuke, former MP of Shiv Sena Mr Anandrao Adsul, Maharashtra State Secretary of All India Brahmin Federation Mr Anand Ghare, Vidarbha Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Mr Shrikant Pisolkar, President of All India Maheshwari Mahasabha at Nagpur Mr Shyamsunder Soni. Mr. Sunil Ghanwat apprised the CM about Love Jihad.
