Christian Catholics oppose interference of the Government in Church properties

How many Hindu ‘Dharma-Gurus’ oppose to taking over of temples by the Government ?

New Dehli : ‘Catholic Church has ownership rights over large terrain of land in Bharat. Similarly, this is the largest employment generating organisation after the Bharat Government. Annual budget of the Church is equal to the annual budget of Indian Navy. Government control is necessary on the property of the church.’ This opinion was expressed in the convention of All India Catholic Federation, held recently in Goa; however, Christian missionaries and Bishop have strongly opposed this proposal.

1. ‘Churches all over the world are managed according to laws of respective countries. Religious organisations cannot have parallel governance within the State.’ This was stated by Catholic leader and former Union Minister Eduardo Faleiro.

2. Christian missionaries are opposing to changes proposed in working procedure of churches. Christian missionaries are against interference of the Government. (Government does not dare to interfere in the mismanagement of churches when opposed by Christians; however, Hindu temples are being taken over without even informing Hindus paying total disregard to their opposition ! Now, only alternative left for Hindus is to oust such rulers from power, who are persecuting Hindus, in the name of secularism ! – Editor, Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’)

3. ‘There is lot of corruption in management of Hindu temples, which are controlled by the Government. If Churches are brought under the control of the Government, there will be corruption even in management of churches, claimed Dr. John Dayal, the leader of Catholic community. 4. The Catholic organisation in Bharat is 500 years old. The properties and assets owned by churches will be worth billions of rupees. Only the Churches have right to these assets and properties. The Government has preferred to maintain silence over this issue.
