Kankavli : The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti called upon BJP MLA Nitesh Rane and requested him to raise issues related to attacks on nation and Dharma, and issues pertaining to Sindhudurg district including social, healthcare, conversions. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Dr. Nitin Dhawan and Mr. Mangesh Varavadekar met MLA Rane at his residence in the city and presented a memorandum with this request. MLA Rane discussed various issues with the HJS delegates. He assured that he will raise this issues in the upcoming Budget session.

MLA Rane said, “The memoranda submitted by the Samiti are well researched. Necessary documents are attached. Organize a regular meeting of various organizations in the district, on these issues. I will also attend these meetings”. MLA Rane suggested that the administration can be compelled to act on various issues through this means.

The memorandum requests that the following issues be raised in the upcoming session –

  • In Sindhudurg District Government Hospital, important posts of category 1 like District Surgeon, Resident Medical Officer, Gynaecologist, Obstetrician, Pediatrician etc. have been approved, and along with these posts, other category posts are largely vacant.
  • The conservation of Vijaydurg fort
  • Recovery of fines from religious fanatics involved in the Azad maidan riots
  • Probe convent schools where minors are sexually abused
  • Investigation into whether the pollution control board targets Hindu festivals while disregarding festivals of other religions
  • Implementation of anti-Religious conversion Act in the state
  • Inquiry into increasing incidents of ‘Love Jihad’
  • Strict action against those who hoisted Pakistani flags and hoardings of Aurangzeb at Washim
  • Publication of Waqf Board’s activities on a website
