Hunger strike to pursue implementation of ban on cow-slaughter !
Mumbai – Cow-slaughtering is taking place on large scale through the Government for earning foreign exchange; but the whole country is facing its adverse consequences. Agriculture which is the focal point of economy of this country is also becoming barren and health of people is in danger. Killing of cow/ cattle should, therefore, be stopped, was the main demand of ‘Anyaaya Nivaran Nirmulan Seva Samiti (Committee for eradication of injustice)’ for starting agitation of two days at Azad Maidan in Mumbai from 2nd October. Shri. Rajabhau Sheth, the President of the above Committee and his 5 associates have undertaken hunger strike for two days. Shri. Rajabhau Sheth told the media representatives on the first day of his hunger strike –
1. Agriculture and cattle are complementary to each other. Harm caused to one constituent leads to destruction of the other constituent. Damage caused to agriculture of this country due to killing of cattle will send India in economic abyss.
2. Every human has three debts to repay; one is that of his mother; second is of the mother-land and third is of ‘Gou-mata (holy cow)’ who helps us to lead healthy life from our childhood till old age. Don’t be ungrateful by killing this ‘Gou-mata’.
3. People have religious sentiments towards cow and cattle. Hurting religious sentiments of Hindus through cow-slaughter should be immediately stopped as cows are revered by them.
