Sankeshwar (Dist. Belgaum)  – On 7th October, a tempo with registration no. as KA- 23 – 8422 was going from Gokak to Nipani with 4 cows and 11 calves crammed in it. Pro-Hindu activists released them. Sankeshwar police have arrested Hasan Ansari Kalloli (Res. Gokak, Dist. Belgaum) in this connection. (Congratulations to devout Hindus for freeing cows from the clutches of a fanatic Muslim ! If Hindus unite and protect cows in such manner, it will put curb on cow-slaughter ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)  

15 animals were crammed in this tempo. Devout Hindus and pro-Hindu activists asked for necessaey papers to Kalloli but he did not have them; therefore, they informed police. Later, Dy. Police Inspector, Navalgatti registered a case against Kalloli under clauses 4, 8, 9 and 11 of prohibition of cow-slaughter Act 1964 in force in Karnataka. Pro-Hindu activists left the cows/ cattle with Hargapur Goushala.
