Assistant director arrested for showing a cycle-rickshaw-driver in attire of Bhagavan Shiva

Shooting of Amir Khan’s film

New Delhi – A scene was being shot of a film titled ‘PK’ which is produced by film star Amir Khan in which an artist was given an attire like that of Bhagavan Shiva and was made to drive cycle rickshaw. In this rickshaw, two Muslim women wearing veils were shown as passengers. A case was filed with local police station for denigration of Bhagavan Shiva due to such attire. One person has been taken into custody in this connection. (It must be the first incident where police have taken prompt action against denigration of Deities ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat ) This person is stated to be assistant director of the said film. Names of Amir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani are also included in the case. Shri. Ajay Bhardwaj, BJP’s local office bearer, tried to file the case for hurting religious sentiments when police took such action.
