Mumbai – A memorandum requesting cancellation of the Anti-superstition Act was recently handed over to the Collector, Mumbai, Chandrashekhar Oak, on behalf of pro-Hindu organisations. On this occasion, Shri. Sanjay Chindarkar of Vajra Dal, Shri. Kisan Sutar of Yog Vedant Samiti, Shri. Satish Sonar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sau. Vidya Kamerkar of Sanatan Sanstha and, devout Hindus Shri. Vinayak Gujetti and Shri. Shrihari Kutkam were present. Collector, Mumbai, Chandrashekhar Oak assured to forward the memorandum to the Chief Minister for further needful.

State-vide agitation was conducted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and other pro-Hindu organisations at Prabhadevi and Ghatkopar on 6th October 2013, to protest against various anti-Hindu incidents taking place everywhere. On this occasion, hundreds of Hindu brethren had signed the memorandum raising the demand to cancel the Anti-superstition Act and to be submitted to the Government. This signed memorandum was also handed over to the Collector, Mumbai, Chandrashekhar Oak, on this occasion.
