Navaratra festival got over only yesterday . In the festival of Goddess lasting 10 days, not only idols of Sri Durga Mata were damaged but also at least a dozen incidents of stone-pelting at ‘Ramleela’ programs were reported. During the festival of Sri Durgadevi, Goddess, worshipped all over the world, and by 95 crores Hindus in India, fanatics wrecked havoc; but none of the representatives elected on Hindus’ votes thought of registering even protest or to curb the denigration of ‘Mata’. Vulgar songs, intoxicating play of lights is the atmosphere in which Hindus enjoy dancing in ‘garba’; but none of them felt like raising voice against insult of ‘Devi’. When Deity’s procession is taken out with traditional music and it passes by any mosque, all the music is stopped and it then looks like a funeral cortege. Do they feel that all the pomp and music would defile their seat of worship ? Hindus then change the route of procession to preserve their tolerance and secularism. This is about Hindus!
Soon, Eid will be celebrated. They are trying to bend the law for the past whole week for obtaining permission for sacrificing (As prescribed in their religion) cows and cattle, which are sacred to Hindus, and they are pressurising the Government. Since the States such as Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh have already sacrificed Hindus to garner minority votes, Minority will find no obstructions for slaughtering cows and cattle there. However, Act banning cow- slaughter is in force in the State of Goa. Therefore, they will not be able to slaughter cows so openly.
However, they will have no problem in slaughtering bullocks; as the Government of Manohar Parrikar is committed to take care of that aspect. . If need arises, the Government will not hesitate to put activists of voluntary organisations (Meaning Gou-premi devout Hindus ! Who else would obstruct cow-slaughter ?) behind bars. This assurance has been given by Manohar-‘bhai’ in the Assembly session to his Fanatic – ‘bhais’. Has anybody ever heard news about somebody pelting stones on Fanatics offering Namaz on the roads, or at a mosque on the day of Eid because they block roads causing heavy traffic jams thus creating problems for Hindus? At present, this much about Fanatic's festivals, religious festivals and their freedom of religion should suffice.
Government is overzealous when it comes to organising Christmas, carnival for pro-Portuguese Christians. Since Christians like to consume beef, Government is avoiding enforcing of Act to ban cow slaughter in the entire Goa State.
All this preamble is meant only to expose how Hindus are treated in Hindustan where Hindus are in majority and how other communities are pampered in the name of minorities !
