Movement to prevent denigration through medium of pictures on firecrackers

Thane, Maharashtra – A memorandum was recently submitted to Shri, Badhe, the Nayab Tehsiildar and Home branch, Thane demanding prevention of denigration of Deities and national heroes caused due to pictures printed on firecrackers. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has been undertaking a movement, in a legal manner, for the past 7 years to prevent denigration of Deities and national heroes caused due to pictures printed on firecrackers. Pictures of Deities like Shri. Lakshmi, Shrikrushna, Shri Vishnu etc. and national heroes like Netaji Subhashchandra Bose are printed on the firecrackers burst to celebrate Diwali and other festivals. Such firecrackers are sold at various places in the market under the names of Lakshmibar, Krushnabar, Vishnubar etc. After bursting these firecrackers, shreds of pictures of national heroes and Deities are scattered all over the place, and this itself causes denigration of national heroes and Deities; thereby hurting  religious and nationalistic sentiments of crores of Hindus and Indian citizens. Shri. Pratap Pandit of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sau. Jayashri Dahisarkar, Adv. (Sau.) Varsha Palwe and Sau. Vaishali Samant were present when the memorandum was submitted.
