HJS submits representations to Dr. Shivaji Patil, District Collector of Mumbai suburban region

Mumbai(Maharashtra) – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been undertaking a drive for many years to prevent denigration of Deities and great national leaders through the medium of crackers as their pictures are printed on the coverings of crackers. Recently, a representation was submitted to Dr. Shivaji Patil, the District Collector of Mumbai suburban region, demanding to take action against the manufacturers and sellers of crackers with pictures of Sri Lakshmi, Srikrushna, Sri Vishnu etc. and national heroes. The representation was submitted at Bandra office of the District Collector. Dr. Patil assured that necessary action would be taken against those denigrating Deities through the medium of crackers. Other representations with demands of cancellation of anti-superstitions Act as it attacks various customs and traditions followed by people; demand for justice be given to riot-stricken Hindus at Muzaffarnagar and to stop defamation of Hindu Saints and impose restrictions on media were also submitted on the occasion. Shri. Sarvesh Vishwakarma and Shri. Omkar Kotulkar of VHP and Shri. Sunil Baragade and Susheel Mishra of Hindu Prabodhini, Shri. Simit Sarmalkar of HJS and Shri. Mahesh Pedanekar, Shri. Mahendra Tandel and Smt. Bhavika Patel of Sanatan Sanstha etc. were present when such representations were submitted.
