HJS makes a demand with Film Censor Board to ban the film !
Mumbai – A film titled ‘My friend Husain’ based on the life of anti-Hindu artiste M F Husain, who drew indecent paintings of Hindu Deities and ‘Bharatmata’, should be banned and release of the film should be immediately stopped. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has made the above demand with Film Censor Board through a letter written by Shri. Shivaji Vatkar of HJS.
1. Film producer Barkha Roy’s company named ‘Barkha Movies Pvt. Ltd’ has made this film and soon it will be released in India and other countries.
2. M F Husain had to face strong rage of all Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments and he had to leave this country. Shri. Vatkar has stated in his letter that it was wrong to glorify such controversial and anti-Hindu artiste and the film can result in creating communal disharmony in the country; therefore, certificate issued for its release should be immediately cancelled.
3. Shri. Vatkar had written letter on 20th August to prevent issue of certificate of release to the film; but the Film Censor Board has not given acknowledgement of his letter till now. The film is, therefore, on the way of release and HJS has sent a reminder to its letter.
4. HJS made an appeal to all Hindus to boycott this film and oppose it, in lawful manner.
