Another rumour by Congress which pays no heed to Warkaris !

  • Without taking all Warkaris into confidence, Vitthal Patil claims of no objection to anti-superstitions Act !

  • Main Warkari Organisations and Warkari Maharaj continue to oppose anti-superstitions Act

  • No attention paid to implementation of Act banning cow-slaughter

Mumbai : Anti-superstitions Act has been passed to stop customs of causing physical distress. Warkaris have no objection to the same. They will not be affected by it. Only few people are against this Act. We have to pass this Act within 6 months in the Legislative Assembly session. Still if there are any objections by Warkaris, they can bring them to me or Home Minister R R Patil or Minister for Social Justice, Shivajirao Moghe. We are ready to clear their objections. A meeting will be held with Warkaris after Diwali to discuss the issue. The above promise has been given by Dy. Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar on 23rd October. (Warkaris have studied the Act and given their objections in writing on number of occasions; but the Government did not bother to even acknowledge receipt of the same; leave aside clearing of their objections. The Government first needs to give explanation on this point ! When 12,00,000 Warkaris halted their ‘waari’ to Pandharpur on the occasion of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’; still instead of discussing the Act with Warkaris, the Government preferred to discuss the matter with atheist Shyam Manav. If changes suggested by Manav are going to be thrust upon citizens and Warkaris, why will Warkaris believe in new promise ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

No discussion on implementation of Act banning cow-slaughter!

H.B.P. Bandatatya Karadkar of Warkari Sampradaya had warned the Dy. CM that he would not be allowed to perform ‘puja’ on ‘Kartiki Ekadashi’ at Pandharpur if Act banning cow-slaughter was not implemented in the State. All Warkaris had also demanded during ‘waari’ that there should be 100 % implementation of Act banning cow-slaughter; however, none of the Warkaris attending the meeting asked Dy. CM for explanation. One Warkari informed, on the condition of not disclosing his name, that Vitthal Patil had made arrangements to transport many Warkaris from Pandharpur and other places to Mumbai for meeting Dy. CM. Other arrangements like their boarding etc. were also made. Warkaris were promised that their problems would be solved. It was never decided to discuss anti-superstitions Act; even then, discussions were held on the Act.
