When law is same all over the country, why police from other States cannot take similar action ?

Thiruvananthpuram (Kerala) : Christian missionary Organisations are active in Attappady tribal area of the State. State Police have doubt about conversion activities carried out in that region; therefore, they have started investigations and collect information in the matter. A meeting was held with representatives of missionary organisations by R. Salim, Dy. Superintendent of Police from Agali wherein they were warned against carrying out conversions.

  1. It has been observed by Intelligence Department that many complaints have been received from this region related to malnutrition and missionaries are taking disadvantage of the same.
  2. In a report sent by this Department to Home Ministry, it has been stated that Christian missionaries’ attempts to convert people has created tension in that region.
  3. Pentecostal missionaries are leading in the mission of conversion and these missionaries have constructed prayer houses at several places.
  4. Government’s permission is required to construct church; but prayer house is constructed as a way out to avoid taking such permission and Christianity is propagated through these prayer houses. Such prayer houses are set up in the houses of either missionaries or converted Hindus. Police, therefore, find it very difficult to discover such prayer houses.
  5. Maruti, Secretary of ‘Thayakula Sangham’, an organisation working for welfare of tribal women said, “The Government does not grant permission to tribal welfare projects sponsored by our organisation; but missionary organisations are able to get sanction  from the Government for the same schemes; therefore, tribal people develop faith in them.” (Hindus should demand action against such missionaries and Government officers who are helping them ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
