Lord Krishna only a ‘charioteer’, caricatures Lokmat!

Amaravati: In their issue dated 13th March 2007 of the Marathi daily ‘Dainik Lokmat’, printed a picture of Lord Krishna (worshipped by all Hindus) and Arjun (one of the Pandavas) shown sitting on a chariot and a comparison was made between them and the Indian cricket team. Many people from Vidarbha registered their protest with the Daily against the depiction. In view of the strong protest, ‘Dainik Lokmat’ published an apology in their issue dtd. 14 th March.

When Shri. Suresh Dwadashiwar from ‘Lokmat’ was called and was told by people that they did not like the denigration; he replied that he did not feel there was any denigration in the picture. He also said that Lord Krishna was not God; he was only a charioteer.

When he was asked why a picture of Prophet Mohammad was not published instead, he replied that there were not so many Gods in other religions.

(Congratulations to the Hindus who made the anti-Hindu ‘Lokmat’ render an apology. Such Hindus are the real strength of Hindu Dharma. What does the number of God have to do with denigration? “Lokmat’ has no guts to publish a picture of Prophet Mohammad or Christ in this manner. Only because Hindus are tolerant, everyone takes advantage – Editor)
