Intellectuals may note this !

Many foreign tourists and writers have visited Banaras and written a lot about it. Amongst them was an American writer who adopted Hinduism and stayed in Banaras. The statement made by him about Banaras is quite apt. He says, “Westerners, coming here as Christians, will never appreciate the soul of this city; in fact, if you look at Banaras not through the eyes of a Hindu, it would be perceived as a strange, devotees’ city. If one wants to know real Banaras, one has to stay here as a Hindu.” – Swami Sevananda, a.k.a Arthur Scooby) – Uttarakhand, Page 115. Writer – Shri.
