Pune – ‘I will try for schools to teach ‘Vedas’ in their Value Education class. The meaning of ‘Vedas’ needs to be explained in simple language so as to preserve our treasured culture and for prevention of future generation’s decline,’ stated Neela Satyanarayan, the State Chief Election Commissioner and she also expressed a wish that ‘Vedas’ should be translated in simple English. A program was held for distribution of ‘Saraswati Upasana awards’ on 13th November at ‘Veda-Bhavan’ on the occasion of its silver jubilee year when she addressed the gathering. Dr. Sanjay Upadhye and Vedamurty Moreshwar Ghaisas Guruji were present on the occasion. Shri. Anshuman Abhyankar Guruji from ‘Shankar Veda-Vidya Veda-Pathshala’ in Karnataka was conferred this year’s award in the form of Rs.25,000/- as cash and mementos.
Propagation of ‘Vedas’ will help to establish good nation ! – Anshuman Abhyankar
Shri. Abhyankar said in reply to his felicitation, “Recitation of ‘Vedas’ on ‘Brahma-muhurta’ results in purification of mind, helps to undertake good tasks. A weapon helps to protect body; but science (Veda-shastra) helps to protect life. ‘Veda-vidya’ teaches how to live life. A righteous nation can be established with propagation of ‘Vedas’”.
“What we know is ‘Veda’ and what we do not know is ‘Deva (God)’ ! It is, therefore, wrong for people like Dr. Lagu to say that ‘God should be retired,” stated Dr. Sanjay Upadhye and emphasised the need to propagate ‘Vedas’ as much as possible.
