Pune: "Either you will live or they. Those who are dreaming of destroying Hindus will have to be annihilated. There is no alternative," said Panchapithadheeshwar H. H. Acharya Dharmendraji Maharaj. He was addressing a mammoth gathering at Vadhu Budruk village, Shirur, Pune district on the occasion of 318 th death anniversary of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

In the beginning of his speech, he said that whole Maharashtra should have been present there to pay homage to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He said that Maharashtra was not created by Aurangzeb, Afzal Khan and Babar. Would Maharashtra have been what it is, had Jijau not brought up Shivaji Maharaj on this soil and had Dharmaveer like Sambhaji Maharaj not born in Maharashtra? Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krushna Advani visit Dargahs to offer ‘chaddars’; but they never think of coming here and paying homage at the memorial of Sambhaji Maharaj. He said, "If the wing that touched Sambhaji, touches anyone even now, that person will become as pure as Sambhaji."

On Muslims, he said, "Muslims have oppressed the whole mankind. Had they been oppressed in a similar manner, Islam would have become extinct. Muslims know only oppression, they have no tolerance; they are actually cowards.. But we are the heirs of Shivaraya, hence we were never taught to oppress others."
"We shall bow before the soil of this place of pilgrimage and resolve to fulfill the dreams of Mother Jijau, Samartha Ramadas Swami, Chhatrapati Shivaji and Chhatrapati Sambhaji." He also appealed to the people not to rest till a memorial is built on this soil.
