Nagpur: A delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), with other organizations submitted a representation to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra asking him to withdraw the anti-Hindu Acts as its provisions are against the tenets of Hindu Dharma. The representation was accepted by the District Collector of Nagpur on behalf of the CM.
Copies of representation were also given to the Dy. CM, Chairman of the Legislative Council and Speaker of Legislative Assembly so also to the Leader of the Opposition. Leaders of many organizations and Sects were present on the occasion. HBP Vasudevaraoji Tapare Maharaj, Vidarbha Warkari Sampradaya said that anyone dares to attack Hindu Dharma because Hindus are not united and Hindus are not bothered. The proposed Acts are a big assault on the freedom of Hindus to follow their customs and traditions. Therefore, such Acts have to be opposed.
