Navi Mumbai : A meeting was held at Datta Mandir, Sanpada on 24th November after the ‘Dharma-sabha’ of Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj of Puri Peetha, for the youth who were inspired by the ‘sabha’ to take active part in protection of Nation and Dharma. The meeting was attended by 35 members of various organizations like ‘Yuva Shakti Sanghatana’, ‘Swaraj Pratishthan’, ‘Bharateeya Janata Yuva Morcha’ , Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha. Adverse effects of celebrating New Year on 31st December as per western culture were explained to participants as also an important decision was taken to stage demonstrations in the first week of December in Mumbai against Ordinance issued for anti-superstitions Act so as to create awareness amongst people about the anti-Hindu Dharma nature of the said Ordinance.
Shri. Sumit Sagavekar of HJS explained to the participants about setting up of organisation, its purpose and different drives undertaken by HJS. Shri. Narendra Surve said that the said Ordinance against superstitions would impose restrictions on Hindus’ freedom to abide by their Dharma and Hindus’ Saints could be arrested under its various clauses. Many words used in the Act are not defined and can be misused to harass people; therefore, the true nature of this anti-democratic Act needs to be exposed and the Government trying to pass the Ordinance should be opposed through different mediums.
Shri. Kishore Shevale of Swaraj Pratishthan, its President, Sou. Vidya Ganesh Pavage, Shri. Ganesh Pavage, Yuva Shakti’s Shri. Sandip Mishra and other activists and Shri. Narendra Pande, the ‘Mahamantri’ of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Navi Mumbai were present on the occasion.
