Shankaracharya Nishchalanand Saraswati leaves Ramnathi ashram for Pune

H.H. Dr. Athavale’s revered presence to see off Shankaracharya


Ramnathi (Goa) : Purvanmaya Sri Govardhan Mutt Puri Pithadheeshwar Srimat Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswatiji Maharaj left Ramnathi ashram (Goa) at 2.30 p.m for going to Pune.  All seekers from Sanatan ashram stood on both the sides of the road to bid Shankaracharya farewell amidst acclamation of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram’. H.H. Dr. Jayant Athavale, the founder of Sanatan Sanstha was also present on the occasion.  A huge Dharma-sabha has been organized on 27th November at Pune which will be addressed by Shankaracharya.  

Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswatiji Maharaj stayed at Sanatan’s Ramnathi ashram from 22nd November to 25th November. On 24th November, he addressed the mammoth Dharmasabha held at Madkai.

Highlights

  • Goa Government provided Shankaracharya usual security from Ramnathi ashram to Mudgaon Railway station. A police jeep followed Shankaracharya’s vehicle, followed by other vehicles moving towards Mudgaon railway station.  
  • H. H. Dr. Athavale said on the occasion that there would no separation now; He (Sanatan) would be with Shankaracharya wherever he goes.
