'Chief editor of website 'Tehalaka.com' is in police custody because of the allegations of committing sexual harassment of a journalist colleague. This act of inappropriate behaviour with a woman, as young as his daughter, on the part of Tejpal, who is under the influence of Western culture signifies his immorality and lack of character. On one hand, Western culture makes a person immoral and characterless, and on the other Hindu culture makes an individual virtuous and of sterling character. Therefore, Shriram Sene has decided to present Tejpal, through the jail officers, with a copy of Shrimadbhagawtgita to teach him the importance of Hindu culture. Shrimadbhagawtgita is a symbol of Hindu culture. Shriram Sene feels that by at least reading Shrimadbhagawtgita, there will be a change in mental attitude and morality of Tejpal, and he will dedicate himself for the sake of progress of the Nation and Dharma by turning into a virtuous person.' This statement was made by General Secretary and In-charge of Goa State of Shriram Sene Adv. Gangadhar Kulkarni in a press conference organised by Shriram Sene in Hotel Manashanti. After the press conference, office bearers of Shriram Sene handed over a copy of Shrimadhagawtgita to jail authorities for handing it over to Tejpal. Vice-President of Shriram Sene for Karnataka Shri. Kumar Hakeri and Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Goa State Dr. Manoj Solanki were also present in the press conference.
Adv. Gangadhar Kulkarni further said, “It is necessary to verify also the character of Shobha Mukherjee, who has justified the inappropriate deed of Tejpal. When Shriram Sene restrained the 'pub culture' in Mangalore, Shobha Mukherjee made unrefined appeal to young girls 'to send pink undergarments to Shriram Sene'. However, Shriram Sene will not indulge in similar unrefined act after the arrest of Tarun Tejpal. Basically, Shriram Sene is engaged in nourishment and protection of Hindu culture. Therefore, Shriram Sene has decided to present Tejpal with a copy of Shrimadhagawtgita, which is befitting deed as per Hindu culture.”
