All-party MLAs strong demand seeking protection to religious rituals

Nagpur – Chief Minister Pruthviraj Chavhan had declared that the Anti-superstitions Act – 2013  would be passed on the first day of the Winter Session after placing before the Assembly; but on the very first day all MLAs made a strong demand to insert a section in the act giving protection to religious rituals  after having shown the serious short comings in the Law. Therefore in order to make the necessary changes, the period is extended to 2 days for letting the MLAs to give in writing to the Government the short comings, objections and suggestions for improving the said Bill.

While answering the questions posed by MLAs Chief Minister Pruthviraj Chavhan said, “A meeting will be called comprising all-party group leaders and others regarding the Anti-superstitions Act in 2 days. All should submit their suggestions in writing. The Government has decided to have discussion over the suggestions and thereafter the Act will be passed unanimously getting consent from all. There will also be a section giving protection to acts related to Dharma. Number of questions were asked by all MLAs, but the Government officials present there could not answer many of them.

All MLAs expressed their views very clearly and to the point.

Congratulations to People’s representatives for rising the issues of Hindutvawadis in the Assembly !

Clarification by the government !

Dilip Valse-Patil, president of the assembly said, “MLAs should give in writing their suggestions relating to the Act. Even after that the MLAs will be able to express their views in the assembly.”

Social welfare minister, Shivajirao Moghe said, “This Bill is flawless. This Law will be applicable in cases of people suffering physical, mental and financial loss due to having some faith. No other religious acts will come under this law.” (Mogheji, who will decide, whether any person has suffered mental or financial loss? Due to such doubtful framing of words most of the religious acts of Hindus will come under the law. That is why Hindus are opposing it ! – Editor Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
