Hindus will be put on alert about ‘Love Jihad’, therefore, there is opposition to the film ! – Advocate Mani Mittal
The producer and director of ‘The Kerala Story’ should be complimented for making a film on a sensitive issue like Love Jihad. The State Governments of Bengal and Tamil Nadu have imposed a ban on this film. The communist and Muslim-appeasing Governments hurt Hindus’ freedom of expression even after the Court’s reprimand. Now, the film has been released not only in India but also in other countries, although it has been banned in these States, and it is receiving a very good response from people across the world. The people involved in Love Jihad have been exposed and films like ‘The Kerala Story’ would create awareness amongst Hindus towards the issue of Love Jihad. This fear is the reason for opposition to this film, stated Supreme Court advocate Mani Mittal. She participated in the special online discussion programme held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on the topic ‘The Kerala Story : Ban on the film or on freedom of expression ?’ Advocate Mani Mittal said further that the real situation is quite terrifying. Many films were released opposing Hindus such as ‘OMG’, ‘PK’, etc. There was a denigration of Hindu Dharma and Sages and Seers, even through web series like ‘Ashram’. The people opposing ‘The Kerala Story’ were keeping mum at that time. All Hindus should extend support to ‘The Kerala Story’.
Mr Sunil Ghanwat, the State Coordinator of HJS for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh said that ‘The Kerala Story’ has not remained limited to Kerala but the ploy of Love Jihad has spread all over India and across the world. This film has exposed the facts of ISIS, a terrorist organisation. If leaders of some political parties are opposed to this film, does it mean that freedom of expression is meant only for minorities ? There is false propaganda about the film, as the film is against Muslims; instead of accepting the facts about Love Jihad and terrorism. HJS congratulates all the people related to the making of this film for the guts they have shown. Hindus are now becoming alert, and many people are publicising this film through social media so that a maximum number of people would watch the film. Their efforts are also praiseworthy. There is a need to make more films like ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘The Kerala Story’, etc for creating awareness amongst Hindus.
