If a Hindu talks about protecting the country and religion, is it ‘Hate Speech’ ? – Advocate Subhash Jha, Supreme Court
Many political leaders and anti-Hindu people are regularly making ‘Hate Speech’ against Hindus in our country, no application is filed in any Court. What is ‘Hate Speech’ ? The definition of ‘Hate Speech’ needs to be clarified. At present, judges are making laws while giving judgments. Legislation is not the job of judges, it is the job of the Parliament. Is it ‘Hate Speech’ if Hindus create public awareness that India should not be divided ? If a Hindu talks about protecting his country and religion, is it ‘Hate Speech’ ? stated Subhash Jha, the senior advocate of the Supreme Court. He was speaking in a special dialogue on ‘Hate Speech or Communist Conspiracy to Target Hindus ?’ organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
Advocate Subhash Jha further said that Hindus are fighting for their existence in India. Countries like Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Pakistan, etc. which were formed in the last few decades were partitioned from India. Many of these became Islamic nations. At present, the efforts of Islamisation of India are going on. Hindus should be made aware of the danger that this country will again be divided into many parts. Advocate Jha also said that if India is not declared a Hindu Rashtra, it will not take long for Islamisation of India.
Chief Editor of ‘Sudarshan Channel’ Mr Suresh Chavhanke said that a law has been made in the US about ‘Islamophobia’. Such a law cannot be enacted in India, hence, ‘Hate Speech’ agenda is being promoted. Awareness is being created among Hindus through various meetings of Hindus. This has made the jihadists unstable. Complaints are being filed against the speakers and organisers of Hindu meetings, creating fear among them. A complaint was lodged against me referring to the speech I delivered in the ‘Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha’ organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at Jalgaon. Hindutva MLA T. Raja Singh, Kajal Hindustani were arrested in the name of ‘Hate Speech’. A united effort of advocates is necessary to fight the battle against all these issues.
Mr Prashant Juvekar, Jalgaon District Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said that since 2008, we have been creating public awareness by holding Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha in Jalgaon every year; but after the meeting on 25th December 2022, there was no incident that would disrupt law and order. Still, a case was registered against the Hindus on 9th May 2023 by putting pressure on the administration. In the year 2012, Raza Academy staged riots in Mumbai; but no case was registered against the speakers. Many examples of such religious fanatics can be given. When nothing has happened in Jalgaon, cases of ‘Hate Speech’ are filed against Hindus, this is a big conspiracy.
