Bhagyanagar (Andhra Pradesh) : The matter related to Islamic university is sub-judice; therefore, pro-Hindu organizations should not make any statement to media in this regard. If it is done, we will file criminal case, threatened Sheikh Nanhe Saheb, husband of Nauhera Sheikh, the chief of Islamic University. The above news has been published by ‘Andhra Jyoti Patrika’, a local periodical. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a press conference on 27th December to oppose them. HJS has given a reply that ‘everybody has right of freedom of speech; therefore, nobody can stop HJS from expressing their thoughts/ views.’ Pro-Hindu activists, viz. Dr. K. V. Sitharammaiah, Shri. Raju and Shri. Chetan Janardan, the State Coordinator of HJS addressed the press conference.
Shri. Chetan Janardan said, “Indian Constitution has given freedom of expression to everyone and under ‘Press Council Act’, speaking to media cannot be stopped. Nauhera Sheikh should remember that journalism is one of the four pillars of democracy. Matter related to Babri mosque is also sub-judice; still Muslims always talk about the same. They observe ‘black day’ on 6th December. Matters related to H. H. Asaram Bapu and Sadhhvi Pradnya Singh are also pending in court; but discussions are held on them. Sheikh is trying to suppress media in this manner. HJS is capable of extending help to media.” The board of Islamic University displayed earlier has been removed after ‘Hindu garjana’ meeting held at Tirupati and another board with name as ‘Madarasa-e-Nishan-Isha-Attul Islam Urdu and Development Society’ has been put up. HJS also raised a query that why the board of ‘Here is Islamic University’ was now removed.
