AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for deceiving the people by not fulfilling the promises made prior to Assembly election.
“AAP was formed to fight corruption and address major issues faced by the people of this country. The promises made by AAP prior to Government formation has not been fulfilled.” he said.
The Delhi Government did not fulfill its promise of free water to the people. “We said 700 litres of water would be given free, but cleverly a clause was added that those who use more than 700 will pay whole amount.”
The second point that Binny made was of the power problem that Delhi faces. “What has happened on the promise of electricity bills,” Binny asked. He also said that AAP, during its poll campaign had clearly promised that power bills would be slashed by 50%. He also said that, “Over 10 lakh families supported AAP’s electricity drive before elections but they now feel cheated.”
On Lokpal Bill, Binny lashed out at AAP and said that it came to power on December 28 and it’s almost 19 days but the draft of the Bill is not prepared.
“It is shameful that it’s being said I’m demanding a Lok Sabha ticket. My name was used to mislead people of Delhi. “He who lied should resign from his position – Be it Arvind Kejriwal or Myself.”, he added.
On increasing crime against women with reference to the recent Danish woman’s gangrape he said “If any other Government was in power, AAP would have protested. You should be ashamed. You said you would make a commando force, you haven’t even started discussing it.”
Binny even slammed the AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of having close ties with Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit. ” We had told people we wouldn’t take or give support to any political party but discussions were held behind closed doors . I have myself witnessed Arvind’s close friendship with Sandeep Dikshit and perhaps that’s why no inquiry was ordered against corrupt Congress Ministers. I am raising these issues thats why I am being targetted.”
He urged the media to bring out the truth in the front of the public. He challenged that if he was found to be lying, he will be ready to quit his position. He made the same demand of Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal and said that even he should resign in case he is found to be lying to the people.
He challenged the party and also claimed that he has given all to the party but is saddened when the same party calls him greedy.
AAP Ministers had said they wouldn’t use red beacon cars. All Ministers are using cars with VIP numbers.
“Immense corruption in distributing tickets, people’s rights were taken away and given to other people. I never wanted to contest elections. Arvind called me home and asked me to contest elections and said you will fight from Laxminagar. It has all been fixed – who will contest from where. Manish Sisodia, Kumar Vishwas, Shazia Illmi all have been asked to contest from different constituencies and why is this drama of gathering a thousand signatures and saying that the decision will only be taken thereafter? Why was Kumar Vishwas rallying in Amethi?,” Binny questioned.
