Ramanth (Alibaug) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha have taken active part in the agitation started under the guidance of Jain-Muni ‘Pujya’ Vinamrasagarji Maharaj against slaughter-house coming up at Morba. Twenty activists of HJS are creating awareness in Ramnath area and appealing local residents to join the agitation. They are receiving positive response from local residents and they have shown willingness to take part in the agitation.
Under this awareness drive undertaken by HJS, the activists met Sarpanch from different villages, Grampanchayat members and other eminent personalities and explained the seriousness of the matter to them. Meetings were held with their initiative in 6 villages viz. Ambepur, Kurul, Usar, Kavir, Bafale and Tajpur. In some villages, few residents called all people from the village and had meeting. They were explained the importance of cows in human life and adverse effects of slaughter-house on life of people of Raigad.
