Kunigal (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had made a demand with the Tehsildar that full ‘Vande Mataram’ song should be sung during Republic Day program held on behalf of the Government. The Tehsildar, however, informed that there was nobody available who could sing the whole ‘Vande Mataram’. HJS activists showed willingness to sing whole ‘Vande Mataram’ and Tehsildar granted them permission. Accordingly, lady activists of HJS sang the whole ‘Vande Mataram’ during Republic Day program.
