Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Saba (sabha)’ was held at Jalgaon on 26th January 2014. The ‘sabha’ was attended by more than 18,000 Hindus. Good response was received to activities undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) after such ‘sabha’ held earlier and even from rural areas, after that ‘sabha’. Local youth have developed faith, respect towards HJS activities and a firm belief that with the grace of Bhagavan Srikrushna, Hindu Rashtra is bound to be established. As a result, devout Hindus and pro-Hindu organizations have   been spontaneously responding to various drives, ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes, self-defence classes, exhibitions and ‘sabhas’ etc. of HJS.

1. Good response by Hindus for propagation meetings in rural areas !

Propagation was done in 70 villages on the occasion of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha. Local residents, devout youth and at few places Sarpanch, former Chairman or elected representatives participated. For earlier 3 ‘sabhas’ held here, meetings used to be held at 3-4 places in one village; but this time, one big meeting was held for 18 villages owing to cooperation from everyone.

It was observed that they had a feeling of ‘we are activists of HJS; servants of Srikrushna’. After propagating for ‘sabha’ during the day, the youth used to gather at the venue of the meeting before time  in the evening and used to play drums etc. so then other local residents used to come within half an hour. In few villages, announcement used to be made about meeting. Youths from some villages took out a procession with small vehicles and gave invitation of ‘sabha’. As a result, many residents got together in the evening. Details of few special meetings held in some villages are given below.

  1. Chopda : Here, local residents chanted name of Sriram for 15 minutes before the meeting for success; also they took up the responsibility of propagation of ‘sabha’ in other neighboring villages. Devout youth took responsibility of meeting at Kalamsara which was attended by 1200 people. Two 4-wheelers were made available for going to ‘sabha’ and promise for making available one more vehicle was also made. It was decided to get 10-15 vehicles for procession in connection with ‘sabha’ at Jalgaon. Chopda is 50 kms away from Jalgaon; but the enthusiasm among youth for ‘Dharmakarya’ was a proof of their earnestness. Owing to their spiritual emotion, propagation meetings in villages were also held at spiritual level.
  2. Dahigaon : A small stage was erected for meeting which was attended by 300 women and 300 men from the village. There was atmosphere of Hinduism in the village. ‘Prasar’ meeting was held like Hindu ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’.
  3. Vitagaon : A meeting was proposed to be held for propagation of ‘sabha’. Local youth visited houses inviting people to attend meeting. Sarpanch, Gramsevak and local eminent persons were explained about the ‘sabha’ and appealed to attend the meeting. In the evening, after beating of drums, 300 local residents gathered.
  4. Pimpri : 150 local youth carried ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’s boards and took out procession and invitation was extended for attending ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ so also meeting for propagation. The procession was concluded at the venue of the meeting. There was no electricity in this village. As the meeting began, it started raining with lightening; but none of the youth  members left the meeting. Everyone shifted to a temple under construction near the original venue of the meeting and they told HJS activists to take up issues as per plan. It showed their love and respect towards Dharma. When these youth members were asked about how they proposed to go for the ‘sabha’, they informed that 2 tractors would be used for carrying women and 3 tractors for carrying men.
  5. Ladli, Dhamangaon : After the propagation meeting, many vehicle-owners offered their vehicle for taking people to the ‘sabha’ for free.

Devout Hindus from other 4 villages saw the posters about ‘sabha’ and they asked to hold meeting in their village on the occasion of ‘Dharmasabha’.

2. Very good response to vehicle procession taken out on the occasion of ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ !

In the vehicle procession taken out on 22nd January, more than 400 two-wheelers, 9 four-wheelers and more than 100 devout Hindus took part. As the vehicle procession went through different villages, youth from the respective village went on joining the procession spontaneously. Youth from different organizations also joined carrying their flags. Youth joining the procession were making an appeal to other youth for joining. Devout Hindus were standing with saffron flags on the route of the procession and dancing; as such the whole atmosphere was charged with ‘Hindutva’. As the procession reached a Chowk’, traffic police stopped other vehicles and allowed the procession to pass and said that the ‘Dharma-pheri’ was for welfare of all Hindus and so let it pass first.

Many people said after the procession that ‘it was a mammoth rally and not only they would definitely attend the ‘sabha’ but they would bring even their friends. HJS was truly working for protection of Hindu Dharma.’ They also offered to do any ‘seva’.

3. Spontaneous participation of youth from self-defence and ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes held by HJS !

Youth presently attending self-defence and Dharma-shikshan classes held by HJS took up the responsibility of propagating for ‘sabha’ in their village and close by villages. Youth who were earlier attending such classes, but which are presently closed down due to some difficulties, also offered to do ‘prasar’ and organized meetings. They even did some ‘sevas’ like putting up posters and distribution of handbills etc.

4. Youth making appeal to HJS during propagation

‘We have lot of respect for HJS activities and we feel secure with HJS. Keep coming to this place even after ‘Dharma-jagruti Sabha.’ Do not stop coming here for any reason’, was the appeal made by local youth.

5. Devout Hindus got self-motivated on the occasion of ‘sabha’ and their spontaneous participation !

Every pro-Hindu organization in Jalgaon felt close to HJS. Their office bearers and activists were helping on their own. They helped in making arrangements for lodging and boarding of HJS activists. Many organizations advertised about the ‘sabha’ on their notice boards without HJS asking them to do so. On the occasion of ‘sabha’, camps of local devout youth were held to create awareness wherein they were explained the importance of holding Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha and were given guidance on propagation of ‘sabha’ at spiritual level. Devout youth members from city took responsibility of propagation in their areas so also in close by parts in city. They immediately planned to hold few meetings. Participating youth members informed HJS activists about timings that they would be able to give for propagation of ‘sabha’.

6. Enthusiasm amongst child-seekers !

  1. Child-seekers from Jalgaon explained the subject of ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ and its propagation to their teachers from school.
  2. One child-seeker studying in third standard stayed in Jalgaon ‘Seva-kendra’ for 15 days for the ‘sabha’.
  3. Many child-seekers staged short-plays for propagation of ‘sabha’ for which they did not mind missing school.

7. Few points on future propagation (70 % part of propagation)

  1. 4000-5000 devout youth from 60 villages where good response was received can be united if we remain in touch with them after the ‘sabha’. Planning should be made for 5-6 months for this purpose.
  2. There is demand from 18 villages to hold Hindu ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ on small scale.
  3. If self-defence training classes and ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes are started in villages that responded well to propagation of ‘sabha’, it can help to unite local youth. Presently, 10 training classes have been started in villages around Jalgaon since last 3 months. Many youth can be connected with each other from various villages through such classes.
  4. Workshop can be organized for youth actively participating in ‘Dharma-shikshan’ and ‘self-defence’ classes and they can be guided in spiritual practice, ‘Dharma-shikshan’ and ‘self-defence’ matters on experimental basis. By conducting work-shops of at least 100 youth, later, they can then adopt 1-2 villages. Thus in next 4 months, unification of Hindu youth can be achieved.
