Initiate strict action against guilty Govt. officials! – Sunil Ghanwat, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Mr. Sunil Ghanwat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh State Organizer, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had filed a petition before the Sambhajinagar bench of the Bombay High Court demanding an investigation into the scams in the government controlled Tuljapur temple and the missing ornaments of the Goddess. The petition demanded that 140 kg of silver, 120 kg of gold and other scams should be investigated. But the Home Department only noted that there were ‘irregularities’ after the Special Investigation Team submitted its report, and halted the investigations.

Now, Deputy Speaker Neelam Gorhe has demanded answers from the Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding the gold and precious ornaments scam, after it was reported that the ornaments of the Goddess are missing.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, and Kishore Gangane, former president of the Pujari Mandal, had earlier opposed the temple committee’s decision to melt down the ornaments of the Goddess. There is a possibility that this is a ploy to mask the ornaments scam. Therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demands stringent action against the concerned and guilty officials.
