Consensus of temple trustees in meetings on dress code at Dapoli and Khed

Dress code a necessity to protect temple culture!

Dapoli – Temples are the bedrock of Hinduism and the source of Chaitanya. The Indian temple culture which gives spiritual strength to Hindus is threatened by the secular governance system which eschews Dharma. Will Hindus be able to obtain the proper and fruitful Darshan of the Deity without having the necessary Dharmik education? People are ignorant in these matters, so they come to temples in flimsy clothes. It is the duty of every Hindu to preserve the divine temple heritage and to cultivate sattvikta-Chaitanya. So the temple trustees should put in efforts to implement the sattvik dress code in temples, said Mr Suresh Shinde of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

The kind of attire that Hindus (who are there to obtain darshan) and the tourists wear hampers their ability to absorb the Chaitanya as well as the sattvikata of the temple. Therefore, Temples trustees agreed that it is necessary to instill dress codes for temples. Temple trustees who attended the meeting expressed their willingness to discuss the issue with the other temple board members and set up Dress Code boards in their temples.

Mr Paresh Gujarathi compered the meeting in Dapoli while Mr Shivaji Salekar compered in Khed.
