Temple trustees of Vasai pledge to unite for the protection of temples

Meeting of temple trustees jointly organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh

Vasai: It is necessary to work in an organised manner to prevent attacks on temples, to prevent government takeover of temples and to protect Dharmik traditions, said Mr Balwant Pathak of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. He was speaking in a meeting of temple trustees held at Veer Maruti Temple in Vasai. On July 16, a meeting was held under the joint aegis of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh. Trustees and representatives of 29 temples from Vasai, Virar, Nalasopara area attended the meeting. The temple trustees pledged to unite to protect temples.

Mr Pathak asserted that should enforce dress codes, just as all other places have their respective dress code. He appealed that Dharma education classes must be started in temples and that temple trustees should take the initiative to create this awareness.
