Phalgun Shuklapaksha 6, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

  • It’s an example of why rulers need to run government under guidance of Saints !

  • Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati admonishes rulers !

Raipur : ‘BJP kept its promise of making available  rice at Rs. 1/- per kg to the poor people of the State; but its effect is adverse; as it has increased cost of labour, development work has stopped and people becoming addicted,’ criticized Purvanmay Sri Govardhan Mutt- Puri Peethadheeshwar Srimat Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati. He is presently touring Chhattisgad State. He was speaking at Abhanpur, native place of MP Dhanendra Sahu.

Shankaracharya said further,

1. With the promises of Ram-Janma-bhoomi, security of the country, removing economic backwardness, solving water problems etc. the ministers get elected and later, they forget all the promises.

2. Political parties should try to understand every subject from all angles before politicizing the issue. Political parties, like especially Congress and BJP, should pay more attention to the same.

3. India can influence whole world based on its defence and economic strength; but Indian politicians lack leadership ability which can bring together all good powers for improving Indian image before the world.

How can the Government create 5th ‘Kumbh’ called ‘RAJIM’ when there are already 4 ‘Kumbhas’ ? You can create 5th ‘Kumbh’ as also 25th Shankaracharya only because you have power !

There are only 4 ‘Kumbhas’ described in ‘Vedas- Puranas’; then why the Government has started 5th ‘Kumbh’ ? Only because you have power, you can create 5th ‘Kumbh’ and 25th Shankaracharya ! ‘RAJIM’ can be a festival; but not ‘Kumbh’. I have come here as per your invitation treating this as ‘Kalpa Kumbh’. Had I known that you have named this as ‘RAJIM’ Kumbha, I would not have come here, stated Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati admonishing the Governor, ministers and elected representatives attending the program. He was guiding the audience on 28th February in conclusion program of ‘RAJIM Kumbh’.

Other points raised by Shankaracharya

1.  As per ‘Vedas’ and ‘Puranas’, there are only 4 ‘Kumbh’ in the country viz. Hardwar, Prayag, Ujjain and Nashik which are known for importance of holy bath.

2. As per Pundit Chandrashekhar Datta Tripathi, ‘Kalpa-Kumbha’ is held at place which has religious significance and held after certain period. It is like ‘Kumbh’; but it cannot be given the same importance as that of ‘Kumbh’ according to ‘Puaranas’.  In fact, it can be known as fictitious ‘Kumbh’.

3. There are confluences of rivers at many places; so, are you going to create ‘Kumbh’ at every such place ?
