Panvel (Maharashtra) : Hindus are in majority in this country but they are under constant attacks  through cow-slaughter or ‘governmentalization’ of temples or anti-Hindu Acts; but no political party seems to be bothered about religious sentiments of Hindus; therefore, if Hindus’ votes are being sought, their demands should be included in election manifesto by such political parties. A representation to this effect was submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to MLA, Shri. Vivekananda Patil of PWP, Shri. Baban dada Patil, district-President of Shiv Sena for Raigad and Shri. Balasaheb Patil, Raigad district President of BJP.

Other demands made in the representation are imposition of ban on cow-slaughter, stopping ‘governmentalization’ of temples, handing over management of temples to devotees, cancellation of anti-Hindu laws etc. Shri. Baban dada Patil promised to meet and discuss the issue with Shiv Sena Chief Executive, Shri. Udddhav Thackeray. Devout Hindus like Shri. Manohar Kulkarni and Dr. Bharat Bugade, Shri. Balwant Pathak and Sou. Arpita Pathak of HJS were present on the occasion.
