Dhanbad (Jharkhand): The then Congress government had given unlimited powers to the Waqf Board. This law appears to have been enacted to protect the religious property of Muslims. But this act has been used to swallow houses, shops, agriculture, land and religious places of Hindus, and even government property too. It is a form of ‘Land Jihad’. Therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti organized a ‘Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan’ in Dhanbad and Bokaro to demand that this Waqf Act be repealed immediately. After that, a memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister via the administration.

This memorandum was submitted to Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Singh at Dhanbad. Mr Ujjwal Banerjee of ‘Tarun Hindu’, Mr Sunil Kumar of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mr Pankaj Singh of Shivshakti Temple, Mr Dhirendra Puram, Mr Rajesh Baranwal of Arya Samaj, Mr Nirmal Kajaria from Jharia, Mr Shambhu Gaware (East and North East India State Coordinator, HJS), Mr Samarpal Singh and Mr Amarjit Prasad participated in this Andolan.

Messrs Ranjit Singh, Rajesh Singh, Anusaranjan Kumar, Madhusudan, Yogendra Choudhary, Shambhu Gaware, Samarpal Singh and Amarjit Prasad participated in the Andolan at Bokaro Steel City.
