Ban on breaking and sale of coconut
Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : Between 12th and 15th April, there will be ‘Jyotiba Dev Fair’ at Wadi Ratnagiri on the occasion of ‘Chaitra Pournima’. 14th April is the main day of this fair and about 5-6 lakh devotees visit the temple for ‘darshan’. Additional District Collector, Sanjay Pawar has issued order imposing curfew under section 144 of Mumbai Police Act to avoid any untoward incident during the fair and for maintaining law and order so that the fair is carried on peacefully. Curfew will be in force on 15th April in Jyotiba temple area and premises. (If curfew is imposed during fair, how are Hindus going to come together ? If they come together, police can take action against them whenever they want. Is this India or Pakistan that police are taking such action ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
- Breaking of coconut in front of ‘Kalbhairav Temple’, in Jyotiba temple premises and carrying ‘sasan-kathi’ with its height more than 40 feet, has been banned. Devotees except those who have been honored to carry ‘sasan-kathis’, will not be allowed to take ‘sasan-kathi’ in the temple, for safety of all devotees. (During Mughal and British regimes, so many restrictions were not imposed on observing customs and traditions as are being imposed now in secular Congress regime. It is in a way Congress’ conspiracy to throttle Hindus. Hindus need to unite and establish Hindu Rashtra to quash such anti-Hindu orders of the Government ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
- Order has been given to make arrangement of safe and convenient place for breaking coconuts during fair. During Jyotiba’s ‘palakhi’, ‘gulal’ is showered in a coconut shell; but devotees get hurt due to such coconut shells; therefore, to avoid such unpleasant happenings, sale of coconut shells has been banned.
- Sellers will be allowed to sell small pieces of coconuts.
- Sanjay Pawar has informed through a circular that action would be taken against those disobeying prohibitory orders.
(Will the rulers dare to impose such restrictions in case of places of worship of non-Hindus? And if they do so, what would be its repercussions ? If Hindus feel that they do not become aggressive like non-Hindus, therefore, restrictions are imposed only on them regarding their seats of faith and if they lose control over their sentiments, will the administration and rulers take responsibility for their outburst ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
