Raipur (Chhattisgarh) : The earlier BJP government in Chhattisgarh purchased the agricultural produce from all the temple farms in the state. A full bonus was also given along with this. Hence, the state has easy access to the agricultural produce of the mathas and temples. Apart from this, assistance was also provided by the then BJP government in emergency situations. But all this was stopped during the previous Congress government sending many temples into a financial crisis. Therefore, the Saints, devotees and staunch Hindus of the state demanded that the government should resume the purchase of agricultural produce of the temples through a petition to the Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma. He accepted the petition and assured appropriate action in the matter. He also called upon temples and and mathas to register themselves with the government as this scheme would only benefit registered entities. Dy CM Sharma also informed the concerned divisional officer and collectors about this.
Mr Madanmohan Upadhyay of ‘Mission Sanatan’; Pandit Neelkanth Tripathi of Neelkanth Seva Institute; Mahant Sarveshvardas Mahant Narendradas of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti; Mr Ankit Dwivedi of Bajrang Dal; Mr Hemant Kanaskar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti; and Mr Prateek Rizwani were part of the delegation.
