Practicing is more effective than preaching – Karkhedkar Maharaj

Akola: If the Government is successful in taking over only Hindu temples, the situation will become vulnerable and it will be easy to invade this country. One can not become a proud Hindu just by saying so; but one has to practice Hinduism and behave as per the preaching of  Dharma. It is now time that Hindus become aware of the gravity of the problem. The above statement was made by Ha. Bha. Pa. Balyogi Gopal Maharaj Karkhedkar. Maharaj had been to Akola for attending the ‘Bhagavat katha Dnyan-yadnya’. Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) called on him and explained to him about the Act proposed by the State Govt. to take over management of the temples; when he expressed his views as mentioned above.

Maharaj said further, "We are denigrating our own deities. We see improper forms of Sree Ganesh idols during Ganesh festival. The purpose of starting such festivals was to unite Hindus; but unfortunately we have forgotten the main objective." The devotees accompanying Maharaj offered to extend support and suggested to start discourses in villages.
