Mughal like regime of Pune police
Pune (Maharashtra) : Intimidation by Pune police is increasing day-by-day. They are treating Hindus in such manner that would surpass even the Mughals. Ganesh Festival is on 29th August this year. ‘Drummers’-groups are a speciality of Pune. Many such groups are preparing for the festival with great enthusiasm; but police are trying to uproot this culture of Pune by imposing restrictions on these groups.
- Few groups, practicing in river-bed of Mutha River, have been verbally advised by the police to stop such practice for a week due to ‘Ramzan’. (Have police ever taken such care in Hindus’ festivals ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Members of drum-groups, however, remained firm; therefore, permission to practice was given from 6th July.
- Pune police have, however, imposed many restrictions like the groups should practice only between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.; practice to be held only where police will allow; permission will be granted for ‘drum’ groups to include only 30 members during the procession. - About 3000 to 4000 youth take part in practice sessions. How can all of them practice only between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.? Police, however, refused to consider the problem and said that permission would be given only for 2 hours.
- Earlier, a big bell used to be rung before starting practice; but police have imposed restriction even on that; therefore, few groups now play cymbals for starting practice. (Hindus need to decide once and for all that, in a country where Hindus are in majority, how long are they going to tolerate such intimidation and thereby get ready for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
