Mhapsa – Neo Collection (Shopping Mall) had a denigrating picture of Balganesh on their hoarding on the Mahpsa-panaji highway. When Shivsena, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha and some other devout Hindu Organisations exhorted the owner of the company, Mr. Pradip Kavleker about the denigration of Balganesh, Mr. Kavlekar promptly replaced the said hoarding by another one.
Realising that the hoarding was denigrating Balganesh, Hindu organisations met Mr. Pradip Kavlekaron on 8th August and explained to him the ill-effects of the denigration of Balganesh. That time Mr. Kavlekar said that if you have objection to that hoarding, I will remove it; but I do not see any inappropriate thing in that picture. The concept depicted in the picture is of Balganesh and I am a devotee of Shri Ganesh. There is an animation film on Balganesh. Shri Ganesh is being denigrated at some other places also. Example, Shri Gansesh picture on a wedding invitation card gets trampled over many times. While giving an answer to this reasoning, the delegation of Hindu organisations said that, it was wrong to paint a denigrating picture according to Dharma. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti along with other Hindu Organisations have always opposed constitutionally the Animation film, Shri Ganesh’s picture getting trampled over, Shri Ganesh’s vulgar pictures painted by Dr. Subodh Kerkar contrary to the prescribed Dharma – principles etc.
Mr. Kavlekar was satisfied with the explanation given by the delegates and assured that he will remove the said hoarding within 2 days. Thereafter on 13th August Mr. Kavlekar replaced the objectionable hoarding with a new one. He got the pamphlets having the denigrated picture of Balganesh, back without distributing them.
