In an attempt to imitate Congress, the BJP government strives yet again for the appeasement of minorities. Now, BJP has decided to ban Hindu nationalist Shri Ram Sena in Goa. Hindus should remember that this same BJP govt promotes bikini and pub culture, but bans Shri Ram Sena. Now it is time for Hindus to wake up and unite against such unconstitutional and anti-Hindu decisions by BJP, which is on the way of becoming another Congress ! – Editor

Panaji (Goa) : Sriram Sena chief Pramod Mutalik on Thursday said that chief minister Manohar Parrikar was pressured by the drug mafia and the pub and prostitution lobbies to ban the sena in the state. He also accused the BJP of practicing 'pseudo Hindutva'.

"Parrikar should have banned the drug mafia, Nigerian mafia, pub and prostitution lobbies. Instead of that he has banned the Sriram Sena," Mutalik told TOI from Karnataka.

"Parrikar is afraid of me because I will stop the drug mafia, Nigerian mafia, pub culture and prostitution lobby which he is supporting clandestinely," Mutalik added.

On Wednesday, the north and south Goa district collectors issued orders under Section 144 of the CrPC, 1973, banning the entry of Mutalik, leaders of the Sriram Sena and any associates/members of the sena within their jurisdictions for a period of 60 days.

Mutalik is determined to start a branch of the Sriram Sena in Goa, which he said he will do after seeking permission from the court. He said that "a hundred Parrikars cannot stop" him from entering Goa and assured that the sena will work within the framework of the law.

Mutalik also said that BJP practices Hindu culture, and that for the last 40 year he has been working to protect Hindu culture in India.

There were demonstrations in around 30 different places in Karnataka protesting the ban, and Parrikar's effigy was burnt in a few places. Mutalik said that beginning Friday there would be agitations in other states protesting the Goa government's decision.

He said the sena exists in states governed by the Congress and other parties that have not banned it. "We have a presence in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh. We are not banned in those states despite there being no BJP government in them," he said.

The government fears that the sena will promote enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion and culture which will be prejudicial to maintaining harmony in the state.

Ban on Sriram Sena should be permanent and not temporary ! – Shantaram Naik, Congress MP ( Upper House of Parliament)

'Goa Government has imposed temporary ban on Sriram Sena which is for 2 months. Such ban can be imposed for a maximum period of 6 months. (The MP does not even know that ban is not imposed on Sriram Sena but on its founder Pramod Mutalik ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Goa Government should impose permanent ban on Sriram Sena with the help of Central Government. Sriram Sena has misused the name of Sriram. This organization is playing politics by using Sriram’s name. Its registration should be cancelled', stated Shantaram Naik, Congress MP (Upper House of Parliament) in a press release. (Anti-national and anti-Hindu Congress is bound to consider Sriram Sena as an obstacle in its path; therefore, it is but natural that Congress MP is demanding a permanent ban on the patriotic Sriram Sena. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Every citizen of this country has freedom to go anywhere ! – Francis D’Souza, Dy. Chief Minister, Goa

'Every citizen has freedom to go anywhere in this country. If a person is permanently banned from going to any State, it will be against the Constitution of this country', said Francis D'Souza, Deputy CM, Goa.

Pramod Mutalik is more dangerous than ‘Ebola’ virus ! – Vishnu Wagh, MLA

BJP MLA Vishnu Wagh spoke on the issue – 'Mutalik is more dangerous than deadly virus of ‘Ebola’. We do not want such virus in Goa.' (Vishnu Wagh is opposing Mutalik as he is scared that Mutalik would expose Wagh’s anti-Hindu activities. Wagh, who criticizes Hindu Dharma in a very indecent manner and writes verses denigrating Deities, is more deadly than Mutalik. How will he appreciate Mutalik’s love for nation and Dharma ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Anti-Hindu BJP CM Manohar Parrikar bans Shri Ram Sena in Goa

Porvorim (Goa) : The Goa government has banned the Hindu right wing Shri Ram Sena from entering the state, chief minister Manohar Parrikar told the state legislative assembly late Wednesday evening.

"I had asked police to prepare a report and it was sent to the collector to ban the entry of Shri Ram Sena in the state. We have banned Shri Ram Sena," Parrikar said.

In June Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Mutalik had announced his plan to set up a branch of the sena in the state in September.

This had led to the tourism industry, women's organizations, literary personalities and performing artistes demanding that the BJP government ban the sena from entering Goa. The fear was that the violence witnessed in Mangalore against women in pubs and night clubs some years ago might be repeated in Goa.

Responding to a query from Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on whether the government had banned the sena following opposition demands, Parrikar said Shri Ram Sena has been banned because Mutalik had announced his plans to enter the state.

He said there was an outcry when he had not banned the sena but now there is no one complimenting the government for banning the outfit.

Mutalik had earlier expressed his desire to curb Goa's "western culture of clubs and pubs". For the past two years he has been talking of setting up a branch of the sena in Goa. His latest announcement of opening a Goa branch had come in June during the all-India Hindu convention held at Ramnathi, Ponda.

The Shri Ram Sena has been making news in the state in the past few months. Recently, Goa police had refused to register a complaint filed by Congress spokesman Durgadas Kamat against Mutalik for allegedly making an inflammatory speech during his visit to the state last year.

Earlier this month, the sena had called for a ban on the tiatr (Konkani drama) Akantwadi Goent Naka (Goa doesn't need terrorists) and arrest of its director Tousif Shaikh, alleging that Mutalik was portrayed as a terrorist in the tiatr.

This is not the first time the Shri Ram Sena has been banned in Goa. Some years back, former home minister Ravi Naik of the Congress government, had also banned its entry into the state.
