Protest against James Laine’s book: Sangali Bandh, a success

Sangali: The High Court has lifted ban on the book "The Hindu King in Islamic India" authored by James Laine. Shri Shiva-Pratishthan called for a ‘bandh’ to condemn the verdict of High Court and to bring a permanent ban on the controversial book. People from Sangali responded to the ‘bandh’ in a very positive manner. A protest march was taken out on two-wheelers from different roads in Sangali under the leadership of Shri. Sambhajirao Bhide Guruji. A representation was also given to the Dy. District Collector.

It has been mentioned in the representation that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is revered by all Hindus. James Lain has published very insulting and disgraceful matter about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Jijamata in his book. Shri Shiva-Pratishthan has therefore, demanded to ban this book and that the Govt. issue an order to the effect that till the matter is not settled in the Supreme Court, the book should not be sold. It may be ensured that the book is not sold anywhere. Leaders of many Hindu organizations participated in the protest march.

(Congratulations to the Hindu organizations for promptly registering their protests against the attacks on national heroes. If Hindus always remain alert, the religious lassitude can be easily removed – Editor)
