Rashtriya Hindu Andolan held at Thane
Thane (Maharashtra), 24 August – The nation was divided based on religion. The country is moving again in the same direction. The government is neglecting emotions and demands of Hindus and favoring fanatics targeting for their votes. We should protest this with unity said BJP Deputy president of Kalyan city, Dr. Upendra Dahake. He was addressing devout Hindus gathered for the Rashtriya Hindu Andolan held on 23rd August at Thane (west) railway station. Andolan was held for demands like funding should be done on urgent basis for Nashik Kumbhmela 2015, a conspiracy of attack on Hindu leaders in Tamilnadu should be stopped, Hindu pilgrimages in Kashmir should be provided security etc. Citizens noted their protest by signing the memorandum to be submitted to the Government.
During the andolan, it was also demanded for the release of Hindu Rashtra Sena's President, Mr. Dhananjay Desai from imprisonment. Through slogans, devout Hindus demanded to act on their demands immediately.
In this agitation, Mr. Vikram Bhoir and Mr. Vivek Kulkarni from Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Sub-president of Hindu Yuwa Morcha, Thane, Mr. Rakesh Hindusthani, Mr. Swapnil Jagushte from Hindu Rashtra Sena, Dhananjay Desai’s sister Mrs. Rupali Marathe, Mr. Sandeep Lele from BJP, BJP's Kalyan city sub-president Dr. Upendra Dahake, Mr. Suraj Tiwari from Bajrang Dal , Mahant Ranbeergiriji maharaj, Mahant Susheelgiriji Maharaj, Mr. Rajesh Mishra from Swadesh Prachar Samiti and Mrs. Sunita Patil from Sanatan Sanstha and various other activists participated in the agitation.

2. "Crores of Hindus visit Kumbhmela from all over the world. Planning the Kumbhamela falls under state government’s duty. If the government is not planning it well, protest against the government from various places and force the government to take immediate decisions !" – Mr. Vivek Kulkarni
