Shri. Anant Tare, Shiv Sena from Thane
Thane: A meeting was held in connection with the forthcoming Dharma-sabha scheduled on 20 th May 2007. Many Hindu organizations and devout Hindus showed their readiness in extending all necessary help to make the Dharma-sabha a success. The meeting was attended by Shri. Anant Tare, a leader of Shiv Sena from Thane.
Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for the State of Maharashtra explained in the meeting about the condition of temples in the States like Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh where ‘nationalization’ of temples and religious institutions Act has been already passed; he also talked about corruption and diversion of temple funds to finance activities of other religions in those States. He said that the forthcoming Dharma-sabha is being arranged to avoid such condition in Maharashtra and opposing the proposed Act in this regard. He apprised the participants about requirement of manpower and funds necessary for the Dharma-sabha and appealed to all organizations to participate in the ‘sabha’.

Shri. Anant Tare, Shiv Sena leader said that now Hindus are becoming aware and they are slowly trying to come together. He said that he would be informing about the Dharma-sabha to all the trustees known to him and members of public Ganesh-festival and Navaratri- festival committees. He said that he would also personally write to some eminent personalities known to him for attending the ‘sabha’ and all workers of the party will participate. He also offered to extend all financial aid and participate in related activities even later.
Shri. Anil More, Chief of Bajarang Dal for Thane district said that VHP and Bajarang Dal would participate in Dharma-sabha with all their strength. Active workers of these organizations would be coming from about 102 places all over the State. Shri. Rajan Shinde, the Prasar-sevak of Sanatan Sanstha for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts said that he along with other seekers of the Sanstha would take part by holding meetings to create awareness among people, spread the word about the ‘sabha’, display posters etc. Members of Jain Seva Sangh and Kerala temples organization also attended the meeting.
