Pune University should develop leaders like Shivaji-Sambhaji!

Pune: Pujya Bhide Guruji, the founder of Sree Shiva Pratishthan said that we have forgotten about the traditions of Shiva Pratishthan and are walking on the path of dependence. Today, under the name of democracy, there is anarchy. Therefore, leaderships having traditions like Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj are required to be developed by Pune University. He was addressing a meeting held to demand change of name of Pune University to Veermata Jijau University.

He said that Jijau mata had a lion’s share in establishment of Swaraj. She schooled Shivaji Maharaj about the need of Hindvi Swaraj. Present generation is following US culture. We demand the name be changed to Jijau University. We also hope that the future generations will be devoted to our Nation and Dharma; so also they need to be brave and courageous. Youth should be aware of their duties towards their Dharma and country. They should be ready to sacrifice everything for their country.

Shri Raosaheb Desai, the President of Shiva Pratishthan said that Adil Shah destroyed Pune and Jijamata established righteous rule with the help of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Many significant events have happened in Pune during the regime of Shivaji Maharaj. There were many eminent personalities like Shri. Balkawade, a senior historian and editor of Dainik Rashtratej who extended their support to change the name of Pune University to Jijau University.
