Threat to M.A. Baby a harmless one

Kerala: We had earlier reported that Education and Cultural Affairs minister M.A. Baby received an e-mail threatening him after the government made the decision to give an award to the anti-Hindu painter M.F. Hussain for his contribution to art. The e-mail has been traced to a 60 year old woman from Belgaum in Karnataka.

The sender is Madhavi Ghate. Inspector General of Police, South Zone, Arun Kumar Sinha said the e-mail was not a threatening one. He said it was more in the tone of a protest against the State Government’s decision. After questioning Ms. Ghate it was decided that she was a "harmless woman". The police have decided not to register any case.
