Ban the use of religious pictures for promoting products!

Kolhapur: A representation was given by Jana-Shakti Organization to the resident Dy. Collector demanding ban on printing of pictures on packets of products like tobacco hurting religious feelings. Some of the packets have holy symbols like ‘Swastik’ or ‘Om’ resulting in hurting feelings of Hindus.

It has been mentioned in the representation that there are pictures of cow or ‘swastik’ on the tobacco packets. When the packet is opened, the picture of cow gets torn. Then the empty packet is thrown anywhere on the road and is trampled. In this manner, there is denigration of the symbol hurting feelings of Hindus. Therefore, action should be taken on such companies. The Deputy Collector assured that he would inform the concerned department and the District Chief of Police for taking necessary action.

(Insult of Holy symbols is like an insult of Dharma. Congratulations to Jana-Shakti Organization for its efforts to stop denigration of Dharma. Every Hindu should take inspiration from Jana-Shakti and become aware. – Editor)
